Follow along as the Nats look to get back on track against a bottom feeding Rockies team
After losing three out of four in Pittsburgh, the Nationals got a day of respite due to the rain and snow in Denver. Today they are back in action to take on a 3-15 Rockies team that has already fired their hitting coach. The Nats are in desperate need of a series win.
James Wood is getting the job of leading off today. He has cooled off a little in the last few days, but hopefully the thin Colorado air can heat him up. Jose Tena is getting a rare start at third base as Amed Rosario gets the day off. MacKenzie Gore will take the mound after an unlucky effort in Miami last time out.

The Rockies will be without two of their best players. Ezequiel Tovar is injured and Brenton Doyle is on the bereavement list. Sluggers Ryan McMahon and Michael Togila will be names to watch for Gore. Chase Dollander, the ninth overall pick in the 2023 draft will be making his third career start today against the Nats. The right hander has big time stuff.

After two missed opportunities so far this road trip, the Nationals need a series win in the worst way. On paper, that should be easy to do out here in Denver. However, the games aren’t played on paper. The Nats need to go out and win them. Follow along down below and let’s go Nationals!
