Follow along as Juan Soto comes to Nationals Park for the first time as a Met
Despite losing last night, the Nationals are coming off a series win against the Orioles. With back to back series wins now, the Nats look to ride that momentum into a three game series with the red hot Mets, who are an MLB best 18-7.
While he still isn’t leading off, James Wood is up to the two spot tonight, right behind CJ Abrams. Interestingly, the Nats have three lefties in a row to start the game with Nathaniel Lowe batting third.
With a right handed pitcher on the mound for the Mets, Jose Tena and Jacob Young are back in the lineup replacing Amed Rosario and Alex Call. Jake Irvin will look to keep up the good work after back to back stellar starts.

The headliner for the Mets is the $765 million dollar man Juan Soto, who is hitting second. He has not been at his best so far, but Nats fans know how good he is. One player who has been at his best is Pete Alonso, who has been one of the best hitters in baseball.
Catcher Francisco Alvarez returns from injury for the Mets tonight. He will be catching Kodai Senga who has been excellent this season after missing most of 2024.

This will be a tough series with how the Mets are playing, but the Nats need to stay in the fight. James Wood squaring off against all the Mets stars will be very fun too. Comment down below and let’s go Nationals!
