The Guardians will look to even things up in the American League, while the Mets attempt to extend their season.
Dodgers at Mets, 5:08 pm, FS1 —LAD lead 3-1
Starters: RHP Jack Flaherty vs. LHP David Peterson
I almost always wish former Orioles well, but it’s difficult to root for Jack Flaherty this year. That being said, I’m pulling for the team that I believe has the best chance to prevent a Yankees’ World Series title.
Flaherty limited New York to only two hits over seven scoreless innings in Game 1. Peterson allowed three runs (two earned) over 2.1 innings of relief in the same contest.
Yankees at Guardians, 8:08 pm, TBS — NYY lead 2-1
Starters: RHP Luis Gil vs. RHP Gavin Williams
The Guardians may have saved their season last night with a thrilling come-from-behind victory. Jhonkensy Noel tied the game in the bottom of the ninth, and David Fry launched a walk-off homer in the tenth.
The Orioles will have to wait at least another year for a thrilling playoff moment like that. Cleveland could use another one this evening as it attempts to even the series at two.
Both starters lack playoff experience, so look for the two skippers to have a quick hook in a pivotal Game 4.
