SARASOTA–The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network will present eight Orioles games during spring training. All will be broadcast remotely from Baltimore.
The telecasts are February 22nd and March 1st (Pittsburgh), March 3rd (Boston), March 10th (at Pittsburgh), March 11th (at Yankees), March 17th (at Boston), March 20th (Yankees) and March 22nd (at Pittsburgh). ESPN will also show the March 3rd game.
WBAL/98 Rock will broadcast 12 games: February 22nd, February 23rd (at Philadelphia), March 1st, March 8th (Tampa Bay), March 9th and 14th, (Minnesota), March 15th (at Pittsburgh), March 16th (Philadelphia), March 21st (Detroit) and March 23rd (at Atlanta).
Kevin Brown will again be the Orioles’ lead television broadcaster. Ben McDonald and Jim Palmer return as analysts. Geoff Arnold, Brett Hollander and Ben Wagner will be the primary radio broadcasters. Rob Long and Melanie Newman will host pregame and postgame shows. Brian Roberts and Dave Johnson will also serve as MASN analysts. Wagner will serve as Brown’s primary backup with Arnold and Hollander also backing up. Newman will do some play-by-play for radio.
Scott Garceau is not part of the Orioles’ broadcast team this season but could appear on the air occasionally.
Fans welcome for workouts: Fans are invited to watch workouts on the back fields of Ed Smith Stadium beginning Thursday. They can watch each day until February 21st.
This Saturday, Charm City Eats food truck will be on the grounds from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mr. Splash will perform on March 8th and 9th. Fans sitting in Section 225 will have the opportunity to personally experience his work.
