Two of the most potent relievers on the trade block right now are Mason Miller and Tanner Scott, and the Baltimore Orioles are interested in both. The first-place Baltimore Orioles defeated the 2023 World Series champs last night, remaining one game ahead of the second-place New York Yankees. Both Miller and Scott are on the hunt, and it will be a tough competition to see who lands them.

Miller has gone from Division III and Type 1 Diabetes to throwing as hard as 100 mph in the majors. It’s quite a story for the 25-year-old who was an All-Star this season, recording two strikeouts, giving up no runs, and hitting 103 mph. It will surely be a day in his baseball career that he will never forget. Miller is sporting a 2.27 ERA, with 15 saves and 70 strikeouts. He is a masterclass and a force to be reckoned with. His strikeout rate is also out of this world at 46.7%, showcasing his dominance as one of the best relievers in MLB. The Orioles are just one of many teams that have drawn interest in him.
Marlins Scott on the Trade Block
Scott is also an appealing reliever in the majors, as he was also an All-Star this season and has an ERA of 1.30 with 15 saves and 46 strikeouts. Ironically, the 29-year-old made his MLB debut with the Orioles back in 2017. So, if the Marlins were to trade him to the Orioles, he would return to a familiar environment. As with Miller, Scott is also gaining much traction from several teams besides the Orioles. From the start of the 2023 season, Scott has demonstrated a commanding dominance in the NL. He has accomplished this by recording four or more outs in a save six times this season. In addition, he and Seattle Mariners Andrés Muñoz are tied for the most in baseball.
