The Yankees have yet to win a game in the WS and could be eliminated tonight
Happy Tuesday, Camden Chatters!
If you’re a Yankee hater, and I think you are, things are going pretty well for you during this World Series. The best option would be for the Yankees to not make it to the World Series in the first place. But since they did, watching them get beaten every game so far has been pretty enjoyable.
The Yankees returned to New York looking to claw their way back into the series. It did not happen. The Dodgers went up 2-0 in the top of the first inning on another Freddie Freeman home run. They added two more on and ultimately won 4-2 to put themselves on the brink of a World Series title.
One of my favorite parts of last night’s game was when the game returned from commercial break with a montage of various Yankees looking sad at all their failures.
No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in the World Series. As we all know, coming back from being down 3-0 in any playoff series has happened just once and it came against the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS.
The Dodgers will attempt to win the World Series tonight with a bullpen game. Those have worked out pretty well for them this postseason. The Yankees send Luis Gil to the mound to try and extend their season by one more day.
