Alex Sarr has had a rough week in the NBA Summer League.
The No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft has made one of 21 shots from the floor during his last two games. He’s only scored two points during that time.
This comes after Sarr had a solid 12-point showing in his Summer League debut.

While it’s only the Summer League, Wizards fans likely didn’t see this coming. Luckily, it’s still early so he’ll have plenty of time to turn it around in the league before the 2024-25 NBA season starts.
On the plus side, Sarr has been great on the boards, recording 20 rebounds over his last two games.
Sarr was drafted second overall by the Wizards out of the Perth Wildcats in the Hungry Jacks National Basketball League in Australia. He finished the 2023-24 season averaging 9.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
The Wizards are hoping he’ll be able to get them going in the right direction again after they won only 15 games this past season. They finished 15-67 and have missed the playoffs four seasons in a row.
They haven’t even won a playoff series since the 2016-17 season when they beat the Atlanta Hawks in six games.
