No Kevin Broom here. So I’ll step in.
Kevin Broom is not here this work week due to some professional obligations with his day job. I also had a busy Monday at my own day job. I had to prepare lessons for my students and get observed by an administrator today. For those of you who are teachers, if you know, you know.
Anyway, I know the Washington Wizards are playing the New York Knicks. But in the interest of consistency, let’s break down the box score.
Here’s the good, bad and ugly.
The Good
- Washington had a higher free throw rate than Detroit
- Kyle Kuzma got out of a shooting slump, scoring 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting overall
- Jordan Poole remained hot from the three point line, going 3-of-5 from deep.
- Both teams shot about 47 percent overall.
- The Wizards made 12-of-27 from three.
The Bad
- The Wizards lost the rebounding margin, 51-39
- The Wizards only made 14-of-20 free throws.
The Ugly
- Washington turned the ball over 17 times while Detroit did so just 9 times.
- Kuzma turned the ball over 4 times while dishing just 1 assist.
Hopefully the Wizards can do a bit better against the Knicks. That game is in progress.
