The Go-Go will host the 905 today at 3 p.m. EST
The Capital City Go-Go (2-2) will host the Raptors 905 (1-2) today at 3 p.m. EST at the Entertainment and Sports Arena. The Go-Go have been inconsistent to start the season but looked good in their most recent game, a 120-115 win against the Long Island Nets.
Due to the uncertain nature of G League rosters from night to night, it’s hard to say who the starting five will be until gametime. However, I would expect to go with RJ Nembhard, Justin Champagnie, Taylor Funk, John Butler Jr., and Mouhamadou Gueye. For 905, look for Kennedy Chandler, Charlie Brown Jr., Quincy Guerrier, Ulrich Chomche, and Tyreke Key.
Funk is coming off of a 27-point, 8-rebound, and 6-assist game. Champagnie added 22 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists so it’ll be interesting to see if he can follow that up with another strong performance. Nembhard contributed 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. Erik Stevenson has also been playing very well so don’t be surprised to see him add some scoring punch off the bench.
Leaky Black and Kira Lewis Jr. will both miss the game due to injuries as will Jared Butler and Tristan Vukcevic who are with the Wizards for the night. You can watch today’s game on Monumental+ or NBAGLeague.com.
