The Phoenix Suns will reportedly get some unexpected extra depth in their trade for Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards. Jordan Goodwin has reportedly been informed he’s being included in the deal and being sent to the Suns.
Goodwin was signed to a standard contract from his two-way deal in late-February of this past season. In 62 games (seven starts) with the Wizards, Goodwin averaged 6.6 points per game on 44.8% shooting from the field.
Phoenix is short on depth, with only six players under contract after this trade. Beal and Goodwin will join Deandre Ayton, Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Cameron Payne as the only Suns with contracts for the 2023-24 season, as free agency opens.
