What to watch for
- Aaliyah Edwards (pick number six) and Rickea Jackson (pick number four) were two of the top frontcourt players selected in this year’s draft. Jackson has been the decisively better player this season, averaging 11.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game with a little bit more night-to-night responsibility, but both players have been great and will stick around the W for years to come.
- Sparks rookie Cameron Brink suffered a torn ACL earlier this season, causing her to miss the rest of the season as well as the Paris Olympics (she was a member of Team USA’s 3×3 squad).
- The Mystics are coming off an 83-77 loss to the Seattle Storm. Shakira Austin and Ariel Atkins combined for 49 points in that loss.
