Where: Footprint Center, Phoenix

What to watch for
The Mystics have become one of the hotter teams in the WNBA in the last couple weeks, winning four of their last five games. They still remain in 10th place in the WNBA standings, one game behind the Atlanta Dream for ninth. While going for a playoff spot could be detrimental for draft lottery hopes (and yes, I’d rather see them tank too), here’s a counterpoint. First, the Mystics’ 12 game losing streak to start the season was a fluke. And second, they also can’t afford to nor will they likely remain bottom feeders for too long because of WNBA team expansion.
The Mercury have already clinched a playoff spot, so they won’t make things easy for Washington. They have won five of their last 10 games and want to finish about the Indiana Fever, who have surged into sixth place with a 17-16 record at this point in the season.
I’m thinking that this game will ultimately be a Mercury victory, but you never know!
