The Wizards host the Pacers just before the All-Star break.
With the NBA trade window closed (nice to see Corey Kispert is still here!), the Washington Wizards have officially finished the second (third, fourth…? who’s counting anymore?) season “showcasing our players” or in layman’s terms: padding stats to raise trade value.
However, it seems like main showcasee Jordan Poole will continue to the third season with many more episodes, and who knows maybe also to the fourth.
The Pacers will likely be able to beat the still-in-assembly Wizards roster with their G-League and two-way guys, while the Wizards will probably have to start a win streak some other time.
Oh, and Myles Turner survived another trade deadline:

Pregame notes
The new-look Wizards — The Wizards made a plethora of moves, including being auxiliary to other big trades. It will be interesting to see how the team looks like after the All-Star Break. Marcus Smart and Khris Middleton might well end up on the buy-out market, but if not their veteran presence will be quite welcome. With Coulibaly and Sarr on the rise, there is perhaps hope, and maybe even finally winning the lottery after a 15 year break. Hey, let’s be optimistic.
Flashback: Wizards lose to Pacers a couple years ago
The Wizards were not stellar on defense already two seasons ago… They managed to concede 143 points in a loss 120-143 to the Pacers.
