What to watch for
The preseason is almost over and the Wizards have a chance to get to .500 in the games that don’t count. Kyle Kuzma’s 22-point night against the Raptors fueled Friday’s win in Capital One Arena. Rookie Bud Carrington flashed some of his potential with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Carrington is one of three rookies averaging over 20 minutes a game in the preseason for Washington along with #2 overall pick Alex Sarr and the #19 selection Kyshawn George. Tonight could be the night for one of those young guns to go off. The Wizards also made a flurry of moves, mostly related to their G-League team. With the departure of some roster hopeful, it will be interesting to see if any players get their opportunity to shine in a preseason game.
On the other side, the Brooklyn Nets have played just one preseason game. They lost to the Clippers 115-106 last Tuesday. Brooklyn had 15 players play 10 minutes or more in that game as they struggled to fill in for injuries to a number of players.
