What to watch for
Can D.C.’s lightning strike the Hawks twice?
The Wizards upset the Hawks on the road last game for their first win of the season. Washington got a combined 72 points from its veteran trio of Kyle Kuzma, Jordan Poole, and Corey Kispert. The good guys will try to maintain that same recipe for success. But as NBA fans know dearly, beating the same team twice in a row is never easy.
Alex Sarr vs. Zaccharie Risacher: Part Deux
The first clash between Sarr and Risacher wasn’t exactly a heavyweight fight. The Wizards big man tallied seven points, nine rebounds, and two blocks on 3/11 shooting across 17 minutes. Sarr still outperformed his fellow countryman Risacher, who scored four points on 1/8 shooting to go along with three rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Look for both players to bounce back in round two.
We’re officially on Bilal Coulibaly watch
Over his last two games, Coulibaly has averaged 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game on an impressive 50% shooting clip from the field. The former lottery pick also has five made threes during that span and has looked much more aggressive on offense in his second year. Could his run of strong games continue?
