Running it back, hopefully this time the Wizards show up — The most appropriate description for the Wizards first preseason game, against these very same Raptors, several days ago, was “lifeless.” The Wizards were simply not interested in winning or playing hard, or, really, in giving effort. Which is the minimal thing expected from an NBA player…
Now, running it back against the Raptors at home, you would expect (!) the Wizards to show a bit more enthusiasm, in front of their local fans or visiting tourists.
All I can say is: don’t expect much! But maybe!
It would be nice to see Alex Sarr show some consistency, after a relatively solid game in New York last night. Also, it would be nice to see Jordan Poole on the bench. Warming the bench.
