Washington has now lost eight straight games.
The Washington Wizards lost to the Detroit Pistons, 124-104 on Sunday night at Capital One Arena.
In short, this was an old fashioned butt kicking due to Washington turning the ball over 17 times, which turned into 27 Detroit points.
Last season, the Pistons were marginally worse than the Wizards. But this season, Detroit has raced to a much better 7-8 record. Jaden Ivey led Detroit’s scorers with 28 points and 8 assists while Cade Cunningham had a triple double with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
For the Wizards, Kyle Kuzma led their scorers with 22 points and 6 rebounds, but he also committed 4 turnovers. Jordan Poole also added 22 points. Bilal Coulibaly continued his strong start to the 2024-25 season with 15 points and 3 steals.
The Wizards are back in action tomorrow to play the New York Knicks on the road. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET. See you then.
