The Wizards maintained control of the NBA’s worst record but picked up some highlights along the way.
Capture the Flagg? Sag for Flagg? Whatever you’re calling this season’s race to the bottom in the NBA, it was on full display as the Raptors beat the Wizards, 112-104.
Alex Sarr opened the game by draining a three-pointer. The rookie is shooting 32.7% from deep this year, but he’s been flexing his floor-spacing potential recently and has knocked down 39% of his attempts in the last 10 games.
Sarr put up 16 points and swatted 3 shots, including the highlight of the game where he blocked Orlando Robinson twice in one possession.

Speaking of highlights, if you had any money on a Tristan Vukcevic to AJ Johnson lob tonight you’d be a very, very rich individual.

Overall, this game was exactly what should have been expected. It was in both teams’ best interest to lose this one, and neither team’s roster is particularly conducive to winning.
Jordan Poole had a nice game for the Wizards, finishing with 23 points on 5-of-9 shooting from deep.
Tristan Vukcevic also continued a solid shooting season by converting two of his four three-point attempts. The center has played in 26 games on his two-way contract and will be eligible to finish out the season with the Wizards
For the Raptors, Ochai Agbaji played great defense, especially when guarding Bub Carrington, but he had a tough night shooting the ball overall.
With the loss, the Wizards fought off a “challenge” from the Utah Jazz and maintained the worst record in the NBA and thus the best lottery odds.
The Wizards’ next game is Wednesday against the 76ers in Philadelphia.
