The Washington Wizards have announced they have signed Jaylen Nowell to a 10-day contract. Nowell, who has been playing for the Capital City Go-Go this season, has been arguably the best player in the NBA G League.
In 20 games, the 6-4 guard/wing is averaging 25.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1 steal. He’s scorching the nets, making 51.5% of his 6.5 three-point attempts and 92.9% of his free-throws.
In 205 NBA games, he’s averaged 8.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists. Nowell has played for Timberwolves, Grizzlies, Pistons, and Pelicans. He played 8 games for the Pelicans earlier this season.
