The Washington Wizards center appears to be the only player on the list for the NBA team in the nation’s capital.
The NBA preseason still has about another weekend left to go and player rankings are coming in left and right. Earlier this week, ESPN released its Top 100 NBA player rankings for the 2024-25 season. Sure, the Washington Wizards are predicted to be one of the poorest teams in the league, but that they could have at least one player in the top 100, maybe more?
And the good news is that the Wizards do have on player on that list. Center Jonas Valanciunas was ranked No. 91. It’s true that he will probably not be in Washington for very long due to this team-friendly contract and the fact that he is one of the more reliable centers in the league. But these rankings are still a subjective testament that Valanciunas will be a valued member of the Wizards, even if it’s just for a little while.
I’m mildly disappointed that Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole didn’t make the list, but I can’t blame ESPN either. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
