The Washington Wizards play the Atlanta Hawks tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET. Here is the formal preview.
Here are some last-minute notes:
- Atlanta is 2-1 following home wins over Brooklyn and Charlotte and a 24-point loss in Oklahoma City on Sunday. Trae Young scored 38 points and added 10 dimes as the Hawks defeated the Hornets 125-120 last Friday.
- The Wizards were competitive against Cleveland in the first half Friday but fell behind in the third quarter and never recovered, losing 135-116.
- Jordan Poole is 10-18 from 3-point range to begin the season, while Kyle Kuzma is 9-32 from the field.
- Third quarters have been an achilles heal for the Wizards this season. Washington is -4 in the first quarter compared to a -25 in the third quarter.
