The Washington Wizards have interest in signing Evan Fournier, sources tell Marc Stein. The Detroit Pistons declined their $19 million team option on Fournier shortly before the start of NBA free agency.
Fournier, who is represented by Bouna Ndiaye, appeared in 29 games with the Pistons and averaged 7.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 18.7 minutes.
The Wizards have two recent lottery picks from France in Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr.
