The Washington Wizards are set to sign guard Devon Dotson to a Two-Way contract. The Wizards will waive Jordan Schakel from his Two-Way deal to create the room for Dotson.
Dotson went to training camp with the Wizards before being waived at the end of the preseason. Dotson then joined Washington’s G League affiliate the Capital City Go-Go. In seven games with the Go-Go, Dotson has averaged 12.1 points, 6.9 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game.
The Wizards have an immediate need of additional point guard depth, necessitating the signing of Dotson. Monte Morris and Delon Wright are both out with injuries, while Two-Way point guard Jordan Goodwin was banged up in Washington’s last game.
