Wizards seek their first win of regular season versus Cleveland.
The Washington Wizards play the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET. Here is the formal preview.
Here are some last-minute notes:
- Cleveland is 1-0 following a blowout victory over Toronto last Wednesday. Evan Mobley scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Donovan Mitchell poured in 21 points as the Cavs defeated Toronto 136-106.
- The Wizards were competitive against Boston in the first quarter Thursday but fell behind in the second quarter and never recovered, losing 122-102 in their season opener.
- Jordan Poole drilled six threes on 11 attempts en route to a 24-point performance
- Bub Carrington left Thursday’s game in the 4th quarter after slipping on a layup attempts and landing awkwardly. Carrington was helped off the floor and remained in the locker room for the remainder of the contest. Coach Brian Keefe said Carrington suffered a mild ankle sprain and told reporters after Friday’s practice that Carrington was a full participant. His status for Saturday is still undecided.
