The Washington Mystics’ short and medium term future has now been decided. As expected, the Mystics received the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. This is because they had the fourth best odds of receiving the No. 1 overall pick.’
Here is the final order of the first four picks of the draft.
- No. 1: Dallas Wings
- No. 2: Los Angeles Sparks
- No. 3: Chicago Sky
- No. 4 Washington Mystics
Now that this result is in the books, we can hopefully expect Monumental Basketball President Michael Winger to name a new General Manager in the future. And given that the Mystics won’t have a franchise player for 2025 (and probably not for quite some time), you can expect that the Mystics will go through a deconstruction similar to the one the Washington Wizards have gone through over the past couple years.
