The Washington Capitals welcome the New York Rangers to town. The Capitals having won five out of their last six, are one of the hottest teams in the league. The Rangers are 6-1-1 while the Capitals are 5-2-0 so both teams are playing really good hockey right now.
The Capitals have been switching goaltenders each game because they do not have a clear and precise number one goaltender. Both Charlie Lindgren and Logan Thompson have allowed 10 goals total. Lindgren has a save percentage of .895 while Thompson has one of .884. Both losses were when Lindgren started, however he has better goals against average.
The Capitals have been getting help from all the lines with scoring. Everyone from Dylan Strome, to Brandon Duhaime has a point. Matt Roy, who has been injured, Hendrix Lapierre and Sonny Milano are the only players to not tally a point. Due to this balanced offense, the team has become way more balanced so the opponent can never put most of their focus on one or two players. They also went out and got younger and faster, so this team is way more competitive than last years squad that the Rangers saw.
