Acaden Lewis, a four-star recruit in the class of 2025 out of Sidwell Friends (D.C.), has scheduled visits to Virginia and Georgetown, he confirmed to ZAGSBLOG Wednesday.
Lewis will see Georgetown, a 15-minute drive from Sidwell, on April 15-18 and Virginia on April 22-24.
He previously broke down the two schools:
Georgetown: “I’ve been up there a couple of times to see practice and some games. Coach [Ed] Cooley has done a helluva job recruiting and then Caleb Williams (four-star commit, Lewis’ teammate) is recruiting me and in my ear all the time.”
Virginia: “I like UVA. Tony Bennett and Jason Williford have been talking to me since I got to Sidwell last year. They’ve just been on my line, and you always appreciate an offer from UVA because they don’t offer everybody.”
The 6-foot-2 point guard came to Sidwell as a combo guard but has emerged into a playmaking point guard who is a three-level scorer and exceptional off the dribble.
He leads Sidwell in scoring, rebounds and assists with 14.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists. Lewis is also shooting 50% from the field, 34% from deep and 83% from the line.
“What you’re seeing is a guy who’s a playmaker, but he’s starting to mature into a game manager as well,” Sidwell Friends head coach Eric Singletary said postgame. “He’s somebody you can really trust to run your team. He has a lot of stuff you can’t teach, but his progress over one year with the stuff we are working with him on has been incredible.”
