WHAT’S AT STAKE
Georgetown: Momentum. And this is going to be true over these last few games.
Although an NCAA bid was always a long shot, Georgetown has accomplished a lot in Year 2 under Ed Cooley that puts the Hoyas into a much better spot heading into 2025-26. Losing the likely BIG EAST Freshman of the Year in Thomas Sorber (14.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg) for the last few weeks is a massive blow but it’s important for Georgetown to avoid losing out. In Sorber’s absence, graduate student Micah Peavy (16.1 ppg, 2.6 spg) will need to continue his recent surge. There could still be postseason opportunities in the Crown or the NIT with a few more victories.
