WHAT’S AT STAKE
Georgetown: In the battle for 5th place, tonight’s game could go a long way in determining tiebreakers as to who avoids the Wednesday opening round at the BET. The Hoyas won the first meeting at home with Xavier and with a victory tonight can sweep Xavier for the first time since the Musketeers joined the Big East in 2014.
NOTES
Georgetown has lost seven straight games at Xavier with their last win coming in 2016. The good news here for Hoyas fans is that this season Georgetown has already ended quite a few long losing streaks – at Villanova, at Seton Hall and just the other day at Capital One Arena against Butler.
