WHAT’S AT STAKE
Georgetown: The Hoyas are entering a five-game stretch with a realistic chance of going 3-2 or better. Although Butler has been competitive in losses to ranked foes in UConn and Marquette, the Bulldogs currently fall into the category of ‘teams Georgetown should beat at home’. Improved play from the starting backcourt is something that Ed Cooley’s team desperately needs.
NOTES
Georgetown has lost eight straight to Butler at Capital One Arena. The Hoyas last downtown win over the Bulldogs came in 2015 when Isaac Copeland hit a late 3 and then DSR blocked a last second shot by Roosevelt Jones to secure the 61-59 Georgetown victory.
