Ed Cooley continues to transform the Georgetown roster and build his team for next season.
Cooley’s latest addition came Monday with the transfer of Washington, D.C. native and former Texas guard Rowan Brumbaugh
The 6-foot-4 1/2, 180-pound point guard out of Northfield Mount Hermon School (Mass.) initially committed to Texas in December 2021 after decommitting from Northwestern, but redshirted this past season.
A four-star prospect ranked No. 89 in the 247Sports Composite for 2022, Brumbaugh averaged 13.1 points, 4.7 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game in 33 games as a senior for Northfield (Mass.
“I want to be a part of a winning culture. I want to win, I’m a winner and a true point guard,” he said when he chose Texas.
“Rowan has an elite basketball IQ,” NMH coach John Carroll said in 2021. “He loves the game and is constantly in pursuit of being a better basketball player each and every day! His passion for basketball will make him a great player for the coaches, teammates and fans in Austin!”
On Sunday, Cooley added former Illinois guard Jayden Epps and North Carolina transfer forward Dontrez Styles.
