The wing from Detroit averaged 5.3 ppg and has three years of eligibility
Fans of the Georgetown Hoyas were pleasantly surprised with a Saturday night commitment from 6’5” former Louisville G/F Curtis Williams, Jr. Williams averaged 5.3 points as a freshman, coming to Louisville out of Brother Rice High School in Detroit, where he was a runner-up for the Mr. Basketball award. Williams and another potential transfer are reportedly visiting campus this weekend. Several reports further indicate that Williams is a much better player than his numbers with the Cardinals indicate. He will be an important contributor for Ed Cooley and the Georgetown Hoyas next season.

First the relatively unknown Williams. A freshman at Louisville last year, Williams played on all 32 games, owning a quartet of starts while averaging 5.3 points and 1.3 rebounds, experiencing shooting challenges (31.7%/28.7%). Willaims, a Rivals. om four star ranked 77th as a high school senior from ‘The D’ (Detroit) and Brother Rice HS, was recruited by Cooley then, who took over Georgetown’s reins in 2023, after 12 years at Providence. Williams was reportedly the first Louisville player to hit the transfer portal.
In this portal game fans are too focused on a player’s stats. There are so many other intangibles to determine just how really good of player you are getting. Curtis Williams Junior is one of these examples https://t.co/LdfbhKuTO7
