Baltimore Police are investigating two separate overnight fatal shootings in the Harbor East and Northwood areas.
Around 11:53 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 700 block of Aliceanna Street in the Harbor East neighborhood for reports of a shooting, according to police.
Upon arrival, officers located a 36-year-old man who was “apparently shot multiple times,” police said in a news release Sunday.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Abutting Baltimore’s harbor, the neighborhood is a popular area for shopping and dining. The 700 block of Aliceanna Street includes the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront and restaurants Azumi and the James Joyce Irish Pub & Restaurant, both owned by Atlas Restaurant Group. Baltimore Sun co-owner David Smith is a partner in some Atlas restaurants.

Upon arrival, officers located a 59-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen. Medics performed life-saving measures before transporting the victim to an area hospital, according to a release from Baltimore Police.
In an updated release just after midnight Sunday, police said the incident is being investigated as a homicide due to the victim later dying in the hospital.
The block where the shooting occurred separates the Original Northwood and New Northwood neighborhoods.
