Howard is the third running back to sign with the Terps.
Three-star running back Iverson “Rocket” Howard signed with Maryland football Wednesday after announcing his commitment in June. Howard joins four-star Zymear Smith and three-star Bud Coombs as the three class of 2025 running backs to commit to the Terps.
Listed at 5-foot-10, 195 pounds, Howard is the No. 38-ranked running back in his class and the No. 14-ranked player from Maryland. He attends Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersberg, Maryland, and helped the Cougars advance to the state championship game last weekend after a three-touchdown performance in the state semifinals.
He chose Maryland over Florida State, Georgia and Michigan.
