Four-star combo guard Christian Jeffrey announced his commitment to Maryland on Wednesday, making him the Terps’ second 2025 commit.

Jeffrey is 247Sports’ No. 94 player in the 2025 class and No. 4 player from Maryland. Originally from Brooklyn, Jeffrey played high school basketball at Mt. Zion Prep in Lanham, Maryland.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound combo guard chose Maryland over Mississippi State and Texas A&M, also receiving offers from schools including Michigan, Tennessee and Penn State.
“Ever since I started going to Maryland for games last season, it just always felt like home,” Jeffrey said to Inside Maryland Sports. “I’ve always wanted to go to a place where I feel comfortable at, and Maryland was definitely that spot for me.”
He joins fellow four-star Marcus Jackson, a center from Arizona, as head coach Kevin Willard’s two gets in the 2025 class.
Jeffrey also played in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League and averaged 14 points, five rebounds and five assists per game on that circuit.
