The damaging winds have subsided, making way for another cold snap in the Baltimore region.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a sunny and cold Tuesday, with highs reaching just above freezing.

Tuesday is predicted to be mostly sunny with a high near 34. Wind speeds are forecast to be between 7 and 10 mph with gusts expected to reach 26 mph. Temperatures are projected to drop to 20 with mostly clear skies from Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Baltimore City has issued a Code Blue Extreme Cold Alert beginning Tuesday and continuing until Friday.
The Baltimore Health Department declares these alerts when temperatures are forecast to fall to 13 degrees or lower, wind chill included, or when conditions are severe enough to represent a danger to people’s health.
The declaration activates a range of shelter and assistance services on the part of the city and affiliated agencies, including services for those experiencing homelessness.
Adults, couples and families in need of emergency shelter are encouraged to contact the Baltimore City Shelter Hotline at 443-984-9540, the department said.
According to the NWS Weather Prediction Center at College Park, the arctic air is likely to bring record-low temperatures further south in the U.S. and could cause blizzards in the Appalachians as storms slowly move out.
The week’s snow potential starts Wednesday, mainly after 4 p.m., as chances for precipitation are at 20% with below-freezing temperatures all day, reaching a high near 32.
Headed into Wednesday evening, snow chances increase to 30%. Conditions are forecast to remain mostly cloudy with a low around 26.
Thursday is expected to have a 40% chance for snow with a few inches possible in Talbot and Caroline counties. The heaviest snows will likely occur in far southern Maryland. Otherwise, conditions are predicted to be mostly cloudy with a high near 34.
Thursday night, skies will likely remain cloudy with a low of 25.
The snow should be gone by Friday with mostly sunny conditions and a high near 40. The evening will be clear, with a low around 24.
