The Hall of Fame Invitational will feature a college hoops quadruple-header at Barclays Center on Dec. 11.
The marquee game features Maryland against Tennessee.
“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with the Basketball Hall of Fame in playing Tennessee at Barclays Center in Brooklyn,” said Maryland coach Kevin Willard. “Maryland has a huge fanbase in the New York metro area and we are excited to be able to play in front of them. Playing against Tennessee is another example of the challenging schedule our Maryland teams are going to play.”
Maryland and Tennessee have split four previous meetings having not played in 38 years. The Terps won the last match-up in 1984, 72-49 at the Great Alaska Shootout. College Basketball Hall of Famer Len Bias scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in that game. Maryland also won an NCAA Tournament game against the Vols in 1980 as Greg Manning Sr., scored a game-high 28 points.
