Freshman defensive lineman DD Holmes transferred to Maryland football from Florida State, the program announced Sunday.

Holmes played in one game for the Seminoles in 2024, playing 16 snaps at defensive end and recording an assisted tackle. Holmes, listed at 6-foot-6 and 255 pounds, was a four-star prospect from Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., and the No. 2 recruit in the 2024 class from Washington, D.C., according to the 247Sports Composite.
Holmes represents another win in head coach Michael Locksley’s mission to draw in local recruits. Holmes has four years of eligibility remaining.
