No. 18 Maryland women’s basketball won its first exhibition game of the season, defeating Division II Seton Hill, 108-37.
The Terps leading scorers were Kaylene Smikle, Sara Te-Biasu, and Amari DeBerry. Smikle posted 21 points, two assists and four rebounds. Te-Biasu recorded 14 points, three assists, and four rebounds. DeBerry totaled 10 points, an assist and seven rebounds.
Maryland shot 50% from field, 36.8% from three and 75.8% from the free throw line. Seton Hill didn’t score in the final six minutes of the game, but shot 20.7% from the field, 6.9% from three and 68.8% from the free throw line.
