Edge was the Terps’ third-string quarterback and unlikely to see significant playing time at Maryland, with Billy Edwards Jr. and MJ Morris having eligibility remaining after this season and four-star Malik Washington enrolling next year.
Edge, a former four-star recruit, completed 11-of-17 pass attempts for 167 yards, two touchdowns and an interception over the last two seasons.
