Maryland wrestling downed American, 38 to -1, Saturday at South Carroll High School in Sykesville, Maryland, to improve to 3-0.
Chase Mielnik and Jaxon Smith led the way for the Terps with pin fall victories, while John Martin Best won by a major decision and Braxton Brown won on a technical fall.
This was the first time the Terps shutout their opponent since 2022, when they defeated Duke 37-0.
