Maryland wrestling will host in-state rival Morgan State Friday night for a dual meet at the Xfinity Center Pavilion. It’s the team’s Shrek-themed night.
Morgan State’s wrestling program is in just its second season this century — it rebooted for the 2023-24 season after 28 years without a program. It’s the only HBCU to offer Division I wrestling.
The Bears are 1-3 to open the season. They went 2-19 in 2023-24 and lost to the Terps, 35-6, last December.
Maryland is a perfect 3-0 in 2024-25, with dual meet wins over Kent State, Bucknell and American.
