Maryland football defensive lineman Lavon Johnson entered the transfer portal, Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer of CBS Sports and 247Sports reported Monday.
Johnson, a sophomore, played in eight games this season, totaling 14 tackles (10 solo) and 0.5 tackles for loss. An Allentown, Pennsylvania, native, he was a three-star recruit coming out of high school.
Maryland’s defensive line has been stripped of much of its production since the end of the season, including Johnson, Jordan Phillips, Tommy Akingbesote and Quashon Fuller.
