Maryland softball was swept this past weekend by Iowa.
The Terps scored three runs all weekend and were outscored by five or more runs in each of the three games.
After Friday’s game was moved to Saturday, the Terps were outscored, 15-1, in the doubleheader. Saturday’s second game ended after five innings, as the Hawkeyes took a nine-run lead.
Sunday’s game wasn’t much better for Maryland, as it plated two runs and surrendered seven.
Maryland moved to 15-25 on the season and is 15th in the Big Ten standings. The Terps take on Maryland Eastern Shore next on Tuesday.

No. 3 Maryland men’s lacrosse jumped up three spots in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association poll this week.
Headed into the Rivalry, @TerpsMLax has moved up to the No. 3 spot in the country. Maryland sits behind two Ivies in Cornell and Princeton, but the Terps did best Princeton earlier this year.

No. 7 Maryland women’s moved up two spots in this week’s Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association poll.
