Harris-Smith, a former four-star recruit from Paul VI in Fairfax, Virginia, was the top-ranked recruit in the Maryland’s 2023 freshman class. He didn’t live up to expectations as a Terp, averaging 7.3 points per game as a regular starter in 2023-24 and 2.5 points per game as their top bench option in 2024-25.
Harris-Smith won’t have to wait long for a return to Xfinity Center. Maryland is set to host the Hoyas in 2025-26, the first of a four-year series between the local programs.
No players from the Terps’ 2023 recruiting class — Kevin Willard’s first as their head coach — remain on their roster.
