Maryland men’s basketball earned its fourth transfer commit of the offseason from Kansas guard David Coit, he announced Tuesday on X.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound senior averaged 5.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game this season, shooting 38.7% from beyond the arc. In his only season with Kansas, Coit started three of his 34 games played after two seasons with Northern Illinois.
In his final season at Northern Illinois, Coit led the team with 20.8 points per game. He also averaged 3.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game. In 2022-23, Coit averaged 15.5 points per game, the second most on the team.
Coit didn’t see much playing time under Kansas head coach Bill Self, and comes to Maryland with aspirations of more playing time in his final year of eligibility.
