On this week’s episode of the Under the Shell Podcast, hosts Brendan Weissel, Sam Jane and Michael Howes are joined by Maryland baseball assistant coach Brock Keener.
Keener was announced as the Terps’ newest assistant on Oct. 11, 2024. He spent the past three seasons at Georgetown as an assistant. Keener also coached at Army after serving as a student assistant at Michigan. He played two seasons with the Wolverines from 2017-18.
“The relationships are real and they’re genuine [at Maryland],” Keener said. “It’s just picking and choosing to grow together. That’s been the most intriguing and the most exciting part for me so far.”
The hosts discussed Maryland football’s disappointing loss to Minnesota and the remainder of the season. They also talked about the field hockey team’s Big Ten Tournament outlook. Former Maryland basketball player Cedric Lewis was this week’s Terrific Terp.
