After each game Tom Brady calls, he names his ‘LFG Player of the Game.’ In Week 3, he picked Ravens running back Derrick Henry.
Each week on games Tom Brady is calling the action, he names a player his “LFG Player of the Game.” And after running back Derrick Henry bludgeoned the Dallas Cowboys defense for 151 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries, he left no doubt for Brady to award him the honor.

In being awarded, Brady interviewed Henry after the game where he first asked about the offensive line. Henry shared his praise for his blockers and that he challenged them this week to get it going.
“Yeah, they did a great job,” Henry said. “I’ve been challenging them all week, I was like, ‘just come off the ball and lets get it started early.’ And I think them guys did a great job and took that to heart and they played their ass off today so [I’m] very proud of them.”
Since Henry’s first drive against the Chiefs in Week 1 it’s been a challenge to run the ball effectively. Henry said starting early and winning the momentum battle was something he and the offensive line were pushing for against the Cowboys.
“We just wanted to get it going. Get the momentum on our side and keep the momentum on our side,” Henry said. “And we started doing that early but as the game went on it kind of flaked out so we have to fix that. But I think the biggest thing is just focusing on finishing and I think we’ll clean that up this week. But just glad to get a win in this environment and a great game as well.”
Brady closed by praising Henry and Jackson for what that duo is and will continue through the 2024 season.
“It feels good to get that first win. Obviously, every season, they’re all tough to come by,” Brady said. “Coming on the road against Dallas and having that backfield mate with you, Lamar, and what he presents in terms of putting the defense in conflict. When I was watching you two back there I’m thinking, ‘I don’t know who you stop. You got you totin’ that thing with you getting downhill. It’s almost impossible and then he pulls it and he’s in the open field. What a challenge.’ Congratulations, I want to see you guys keep doing it all year and good luck, my man.”
