Yet another Player of the Week award for a Baltimore Raven.
Though the Ravens and Derrick Henry are committed to “staying humble” following their Week 6 win over the Washington Commanders, the awards are piling up for the offense. For a third consecutive week a Raven has won AFC Offensive Player of the Week. And for the second time in three weeks, it’s Henry.

After a ‘sluggish’ first half with 38 yards and a touchdown on nine carries (4.22 YPC), Henry closed the second half with a 94 yards and his second touchdown on 15 carries, equaling 6.27 second-half yards per carry.
His 21st carry of the game all but sealed the victory as he sprinted for 27 yards off the left side to put them into Washington territory, earned a first down and sabotaged the Commanders’ hopes of getting the ball back. The explosive play was also longer than all but one play for the Commanders’ offense.
Henry has now rushed for 704 yards and eight touchdowns, leading both categories in the NFL. The 30-year-old back is in contention for Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player as he is just shy of a 2,000-yard rushing pace.
