Ravens injury updates before their Week 9 game against the Denver Broncos.
According to reports, the Baltimore Ravens will get a boost on both sides of the ball, but in a limited capacity. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey and wide receiver Diontae Johnson are expected to play against the Denver Broncos.
Johnson joined the Ravens earlier this week after being traded by the Carolina Panthers. He is expected to be active, according to CBS’ Tracy Wolfson, but in a limited capacity as he learns the offense.
Defensively, the Ravens are expected to have Humphrey back after he missed Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens sorely missed him, as he’s been playing at an All-Pro level this season. However, while he will be back, he may be on a limited snap count.
The purpose is likely due to the Ravens also facing the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday. Not aggravating a current injury or putting him at risk when the Ravens have a critical rematch against the Bengals is likely the case as to why Humphrey — and maybe others — will be taking series’ off.
